Empowering Every Student Together with Heather Coleman-Cox

Heather Coleman-Cox proudly hails from the public schools of Multnomah County, Oregon. After spending 12 enriching years on the East Coast, she earned her Master's in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland University College. Upon returning to Oregon in 2010, Heather made her mark as a Network Engineer at Frontier Communications and Intel Corporation.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother of two children attending Hogan Cedars Elementary School. She is a passionate community advocate. Heather understands the transformative power of education, she has actively partnered with the principal and teachers to create exciting learning experiences, chaperone field trips, and promote cultural education within the school community. 

Heather recognizes that learning is not a one-size-fits-all experience, that's why she champions innovative partnerships that create career pathways for students who prefer alternatives to traditional college routes. She is committed to ensuring every student, regardless of their socio-economic background, has access to a quality education. Heather will be the voice for families who have been marginalized or underrepresented in our educational system.
